The international WebMoney Transfer system has updated WebMoney Video, its free service for making group video calls of unlimited length.

The new version places particular emphasis on security, with private video conferences now available via the service. The initiator of the call can select everyone that they want to invite to the meeting from their contacts list. WebMoney Video identifies users via WebMoney Login or using face recognition technology.

In addition, the number of participants in a video conference has been increased to eight. Screencasting and text chat features have also been added. Traffic encryption and connection security are provided by WebRTC technology. As well as open and private video conferences, the service also offers webcasting.

The updated version of WebMoney Video is now even faster and more stable during periods of increased traffic, which is particularly relevant during the pandemic. The service does not require users to install any additional software, since video calls can be made directly from a browser, the WebMoney Keeper app, and the WebMoney Events business social network.

As of now, the deposit and withdrawal of WMH title units and notes of the BCH.ECU instrument at INDX Exchange has been resumed after the planned hard fork in Bitcoin Cash on May 15, 2020.

On May 15, 2020 Bitcoin Cash will undergo a hard fork.

As a result, the deposit and withdrawal of WMH title units and notes of the BCH.ECU instrument will be suspended on the INDX Exchange from 08:00 (GMT) on May 15, 2020, until further notice.

P-wallet accounts for electronic payment funds in Russian Rubles. Remember that citizens of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Estonia already had the option of opening a P-wallet. 

WebMoney Transfer has joined the Faster Payments System (FPS) of the Bank of Russia. Owners of WMP wallets can now instantly send funds to 38 banks-participants of the FPS, and receive incoming transfers. The clearing bank of WebMoney for wallets in Russian Rubles is JSC Bank `CCB`.

Using the FPS, funds to a WebMoney wallet can be added free of charge. The commission fee for transferring funds to other banks is 1.2 % plus the system`s service charge of 0.8%.

Clients of the FSP-participants have the option of transferring funds to a WebMoney wallet with the recipient`s mobile number by selecting the relevant option in their banking app.

To use the service, owners of an electronic wallet need to go to the `Transfer` menu, select `By phone number` and then `Via the Faster Payments System` of the mobile app or the web version of  WebMoney Keeper.

Remember that from 2019 system participants can transfer funds with a mobile number between WebMoney and Sberbank.

The new version of WebMoney Keeper WinPro allows you to change the font size in the tabs of the main window. You can do this by scrolling the wheel of your mouse while holding down the Ctrl key.

The support for P-wallets has also been upgraded:

• Notifications about your accounts and transactions are now displayed in the tray;


• And you can search for a correspondent by their wallet number.

Due to the changes in the legal framework of operation of the WebMoney Transfer system and following the previously sent notifications, as of 18.09.2019, the usage of Electronic Bearer Cheques (EBC) for R-wallets is discontinued and no longer supported by the system.

The wallets which were accounting for EBC are transferred to the archive and their transaction history is available at report.web.money.

You can receive the remaining balance on EBC previously accounted for on your now archived R-wallet by presenting EBC for payments at check.srp.ru.

In accordance to the notification previously sent to the wallet owners, the further usage of operational R-wallets may only be conducted under the terms of The Agreement on the provision of Informational and Technological Services.

The new guarantor is Hermes Guarantor Group LLP (registration number №02-18-39 from 04.07.2018 licensed as an Electronic Money Operator in the register of Payment Institutions of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan).

As of 04.09.2019, funds on K-wallets were automatically converted into WMK electronic currency issued in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan `On Payments and Payment Systems`. All obligations of the previous guarantor have been converted into obligations of the new guarantor in one to one ratio.

By using an extended agent network, Hermes Guarantor Group LLP will expand the availability of wallet top-up points using bank cards, cash and wallets of other electronic payment systems not only in the Republic of Kazakhstan but also in the neighbouring and distant foreign countries.
