WebMoney Withdrawal via UNISTREAM

WebMoney System participants from now on will be able to withdraw WME and WMZ in cash via UNISTREAM.

Currently, the option is available in the following countries: Abkhazia, Armenia, Belarus, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Georgia, Denmark, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Israel, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, France and the Czech Republic. The nearest pay-out point can be found on the UNISTREAM website.

Prior to commencing a transfer, please ensure that pay-outs in the required currency are available in your selected geographical area. The funds will be paid only to the payment sender in person, the names of the recipient and the WMID owner must match.

WebMoney system users can now top up their WME-purses with Visa and MasterCard

WebMoney Transfer system users can now instantly transfer funds to their WME purses from any Visa and MasterCard debit or credit card that supports MasterCard SecureCode and Verified by Visa.

Top up limits are set at 500 EUR per day for owners of all WebMoney passport types or 10 000 EUR per month depending on the WM passport type in accordance with the requirements for WME-purses owners.

WebMoney opens access to the system for UK residents

The global settlement system WebMoney Transfer is offering the UK residents the opportunity to register for its services as of the 1st of December.

The recently acquired FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) license has allowed the system to expand its presence and offer its services to the residents of the UK as well as other European countries. The FCA license granted to WebMoney Europe Ltd with head offices in Cambridge, United Kingdom has secured the company`s status as an e-money issuer in all countries within the European Economic Area.

The electronic purses may be managed via all versions of the WebMoney Keeper, including the mobile and social network apps. Furthermore, the availability of WME purse deposit methods is growing constantly.

Changes to the requirements for operating WME purses

New requirements by the guarantor of WME purse will come into force on the 15th of July 2015 in accordance with European Union legislation. To avoid service termination of the WME purse, the owners of WME purses must comply with these requirements. The requirements concern to the Age, Country of Residence of a Natural Person - the owner of WME purse, as well as the Limits on Transactions and Identification Documents.

You must be at least 18 years old if you live within the European Economic Area (EEA) or at least 14 years old if you live outside the EEA and are of legal age in your country of residence.

If the total deposits made to WME purses exceed 2500 WME during one calendar year, you must submit appropriate identification documents – a valid national passport or other ID document as well as a proof of residential address (bank statement or utility bill, no older than 3 months). If the total deposits made to all WME purses belonging to one passport exceed 15000 WME during one calendar year, it is necessary to submit a bank statement or other documents confirming the source of funds.

Please ensure that the country of residence shown on your WebMoney passport is correct. The use of WME purses is prohibited in the following countries: American Samoa, Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, Ecuador, Guam, Guyana, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Laos, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Myanmar, North Korea, Northern Mariana Islands, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Yemen, Uganda and the USA.

If you do not fulfil these requirements, you must withdraw or exchange funds from your WME purse as the rights to use your WME purse can be limited (WME purse blocked) for incoming and outgoing transactions. The requirements come into force on 15.07.2015.
